I am running for District 80 Representative because the Oklahoma State legislature has continually cut education and health care spending over the last 10 years. We now face a 1.3 billion dollar deficit and more cuts to these programs. Teachers have not had a state raise in 10 years. Our average classroom size has continued to grow and will expand dramatically in some schools next year as districts are forced to lay off teachers because of the deficit. The oil crisis is not the entire reason we have a large deficit. Oklahoma is 49 in Education spending and ranked 46 in Health Care. These rankings will be lower after additional cuts the next fiscal year. Our roads and our prison sytem are a mess. Yet the legislature wants to implement a 160 million dollar tax cut that will really only benefit the extremely wealthy Oklahomans. It is time for  a change in Oklahoma. I would greatly appreciate your vote for me and a change in direction at the capital
